How are you handling the 2GB cap on Cardboard AI for podcast clips?

I have got a 2 hour epsiode with 2 cameras and I'm ALREADY over the limit before I even start.

I have been transcoding everything to 1080p H.264 first, which does work, but it's extra steps (which is annoying) and the files sometimes come out looking extra soft.

Right now, my settings are 1080p, 12mbps, AAC audio. Keeps a 2 hour multicam video under the limit without making it look too bad. Handbrake takes like 15 minutes so I just let it run while I do someting else.

I tried splitting the episode in half too. Upload works fine, but now I'm digging through two projects looking for clips which is HELLA inefficient.

Has anyone found a better way?

Are you compressing before upload or just splitting?

And if you are compressing, what settings are you using?

Also, if anyone's got Pro: Is the bigger limit actually enough for a multicam, or are you still transcoding anyway?

Tbh, recording straight to a smaller file would solve this probably, but I never bothered setting that up lol.
