AI interviews are coming. I think we should get used to them.
A few years ago, the idea of talking to an AI during a job interview sounded strange.
Now, companies are already using AI to screen candidates, ask questions, and evaluate interviews.
And honestly, I don't think AI interviews are going away.
They could actually make hiring easier:
Candidates don't have to wait weeks for the first round.
Companies can interview more people.Everyone gets the same set of questions.Interviews can happen whenever the candidate is available.
But I think the real question is no longer “Will AI interviews become common?”
It's:
“How do we make AI interviews better for candidates?”
If AI is going to be part of hiring, the experience should feel fair, clear, and actually test what someone can do.
Would you be comfortable having your first interview with an AI instead of a recruiter?
