Any one familiar with the road map for Alexa and plus going forward?

Will old Alexa be deprecated? Will the echo devices of days past be relegated to the land fill? Will they maintain any functionality? Become shitty Bluetooth speakers, with reporting? Will the service continue to function as it traditionally did? Will plus roll into a new prime pay extra feature? How much?
