if there is a discrete GPU you should need the 330W. If not, 240W is sufficient.[See the X51 Spec](https://downloads.dell.com/manuals/all-products/esuprt_desktop/esuprt_alienware_dsk/alienware-x51_owner%27s%20manual_en-us.pdf), on page 6 in the diagram, check the area labeled as number 8, if you see HDMI or DP ports, that would mean you have a discrete gpu.

I have a X51 R1 with an i5 that I have had stored away for about 4 years. At some point during house remodeling and storage moving the power supply was lost.

How do I determine if it requires a 240W or 330W?
