Gear up for open enrollment

We are just one month from open enrollment starting October 15 through December 7. Now is a good time to prepare to reevaluate your plan and benefits, although new plan information for 2027 is not yet available.

The good news is that Alignment Health Plan is not leaving any existing markets like many other Medicare advantage companies are doing. Small changes in extra benefits, such as dental coverage and Access Card allowance money are expected.

If you have a qualifying chronic condition such as diabetes or heart failure, and qualify for Medicaid or Extra Help, I would look into a C-SNP (Special Needs Plan). Just be sure your doctor and specialists are in network.
