How do you choose a good reservation management software?

Hey guys, I'm conducting a survey on how restaurateurs manage reservations, and I noticed most of the prospects we talked to in our local area either don't see the value in reservation software or just flat out don't want to try it out.
I was wondering, what elements of a software should prove enough value for you guys to decide, yeah, I'll switch!
