Small dosage + alcohol = super sad?

As the title says, I’m on a very small dosage (5 mg or half a pill every night) for SIBO, which has similar symptoms to IBS. I’ve had a glass of wine or so before on this dosage but been to a couple of parties this week and had 2 - 5 drinks and both days I’ve woken up the day after and feel like absolute crap. As in full blown depression - not wanting to do anything, being completely passive, feeling like nothing is worth doing and super sad. To be clear, I’m not depressed. I have been in the past so I know the signs and the feeling all too well. It has always passed after a day or so when it happens now.

I know you’re not supposed to mix the meds with alcohol but I thought it was mostly because of the drowsiness you can get.

Has anyone else experienced this? I’m specifically on a kind called Saroten.
