Building is cheap now. Demand isn’t. How are you proving anyone will pay?

With a Claude / Codex / Cursor subscription, almost anyone can ship an AI or tools product. The hard part isn’t “can I build it?” anymore.

It’s whether anyone will need it — and pay for it — once you’re done.

If you’re building (or advising builders), answer one:

  1. What’s the *first* proof you look for before you trust demand is real?
  2. What’s a “validation” signal you’ve learned to ignore?
  3. Have you ever shipped something people liked… and still wouldn’t pay for?

Steal-worthy answers welcome. One concrete example beats a theory.

What’s yours?
