I built a sports app because I kept getting games spoiled when I couldn’t watch live
I wanted to share an app I’ve been working on called NoLookSports, and get some honest thoughts from people who follow sports but don’t always watch games live.
The idea came from personal frustration. Between work, kids, and time zones, I end up watching a lot of games on delay — and I realized most sports apps are basically unusable in that situation. Even when you try to turn scores off, something always slips through.
So I built NoLookSports around a simple premise:
you should be able to follow sports without being forced to see the outcome until you’re ready.
Instead of assuming everyone wants live scores, the app focuses on:
- Blocking scores and spoilers by default
- Letting you control when results are revealed
- Following sports, stats, and context without the anxiety of accidental spoilers
It’s still early, but it’s now live on both platforms.

I’m curious how others handle this today:
- Do you avoid sports apps entirely until you watch?
- Mute everything?
- Or just accept spoilers as part of the deal?
Happy to answer questions or hear what you think.
