🚨Hot Topic: Performance Bonus
📢 RETENTION UPDATE: New Performance-Based Bonus System (QTIP)
The Army is changing how reenlistment bonuses are calculated. Under the new Quality Tiered Incentive Program (QTIP), your bonus amount isn't just about your MOS anymore—it’s about your performance.
How it works: The Army is moving toward "precision retention," which means rewarding the highest-performing Soldiers with larger payouts. Soldiers will be ranked into four "Steps," with Steps 3 and 4 receiving the highest incentives.
What determines your "Step" ranking?
AFT Scores: Your physical fitness now directly impacts your potential payout.
Technical Skills: Advanced schooling, certifications, and Additional Skill Identifiers (ASI).
Command Assessment: Your standing on the unit Order of Merit List (OML).
The Numbers: While bonuses still favor high-demand fields like Cyber, Intel, and Special Operations (with some payouts reaching up to $81,000), even common MOSs will see tiered pricing based on individual quality scores.
Important Note: This information is based on current policy being pushed out across the force. If you are in your reenlistment window, now is the time to check your "Step" status.
