Is it common for Dutch men to prioritise hobbies over overtime?
There’s this stereotype that Dutch guys really value their personal time and will shut down discussions about overtime pretty quickly, especially if there’s a bike ride, football match or some other hobby waiting. Some people say it’s just part of the culture here, others reckon it depends on the job and the person.
Is it common for Dutch men to prioritise hobbies and personal time over putting in extra hours at work, or is that more of an ideal than what actually happens day to day?
