ASUS Zenbook 14 Flip OLED - Fan problem resolving from my own experience
I've been using my laptop for four years. The first three years is fine, but one year after I started hearing small sound "tick" "tick" once in a while when I'm using some heavy program (Just some application for video and image editing). Then one day, the fans were extremely loud like "ergggggggggggg", "ergggggggggg" even when I just opened one tab of Chrome, and the battery part was extremely hot.
So I thought my fans were broken or something, but I haven't get it cleaned since I bought it, therefore I brought it to the store. When they opened the laptop, they told me one fan had an uneven axis and they figured that was the problem, and the only solution is that I had to replace it (About 60$ per fan, and it had two).
I asked them just clean it and I will see if it was the fan or not, because I kept my laptop carefully throughout the time I was using it (I don't carry it around often, always charge full battery, place it on a flat surface with ventilator,...), they said ok but if it is still making loud noise then replacing it is the only way to make it stop.
After it was cleaned, the sound of the fan was smaller significantly but after one or two start they just keep getting hot again and make that sound, which was really annoying. I searched on the internet and found out that there was something with ASUS chipset driver. After I searched the mainboard's name and got it installed, everything just work magically all over again.
My laptop ain't getting hot anymore, the fans are cooler and smoother like when I just bought it. So there wasn't any fee in fixing this thing except for cleaning (they also applied more thermal paste as it is dried through the using process).
I also read a lot of topics where they complained about this problem of an ASUS Zenbook, so I think this must be a kind of systematic error of this product line. So I'm sharing this post to people who encounter the same problem as I did.
TL;DR: Fans sounded terribly loud, battery got hot so I got the laptop cleaned (Applied more thermal paste during the process) and install driver for the chipset. Pretty sure this was an error of this product line (ASUS Zenbook).
