Not sure what Im doing wrong

Wish I would have found this group before jumping in but here goes.

Picked up a new Ninja Ultra. My first experience with Atomos after putting off using one. Im using their 1 TB SSD and connecting it to my A7slll and hope to use it with the A1 eventually but its not working for some reason.

It recognizes the SSD but I cant seem to record of off the Ninja. The record button is grayed out. I tried format the SSD, updating the firmware (came with 11 but it looks like there is 11.02.01 and I can't even get that to work and upload automatically it says in the instructions it will once installed on the SSD. "Power on the Ninja Ultra and the firmware update process will begin automatically."

Nothing happens after rebooting. Same issues...

I also noticed that when I tried to update the available codecs It still shoes then as not installed.

I cant seem to download the correct file that is mentioned. The token I download only included a Read me file but not the activation bin.

I hate feeling like Im missing something... Im sure its something simple and will feel better once I get it rolling but so far Ive been at it for 3 hrs and almost ready to send it back. Thought Id sleep in it and reach out to you all for a hand.
