I don't really know how to write this without sounding a little ridiculous, but I wanted to share it anyway. I was in Melbourne for work and had some free time, so I was browsing through the verified Asian profiles on Scarlet Blue. I wasn't really looking for anything serious or expecting to remember anyone afterwards. Then I saw North. Honestly, I just kind of fell for her photos immediately. My first thought was actually, “Is this really the kind of girl who's doing this?” She was so pretty that I genuinely couldn't understand it. In my head, someone who looks like that should already be doing incredibly well for herself without having to do this kind of work. Looking back, I know that's probably not the most respectful way to think about the industry, but I'm just being honest about what went through my head.

So I went to meet her with quite a lot of doubt and booked one hour. That one hour completely changed my mind. I'm not going to go into all the private details, but what surprised me most was how she somehow managed to give me both sides of the experience I was looking for GFE and PSE. There was something very natural about being around her. It didn't feel like I was constantly aware of the time or thinking about what was supposed to happen next. I was just enjoying being there. By the end of that hour, I honestly didn't really want to leave. I asked her if she was available that night, she said yes, and I booked the whole night immediately. I remember thinking to myself, “Holy, did I just win a lottery?”

And somehow it didn't stop there. The next morning I woke up and realised I still didn't feel like I'd had enough time with her. I actually started thinking about spending an entire day together getting food, going somewhere, just hanging out and talking. I asked her about it, but she told me she needed to study during the day and was only free at night, so I ended up booking another night. At that point I was honestly laughing at myself a little. I had come to Melbourne for work, and somehow this girl had become the part of the trip I was looking forward to most.

Those two nights also gave me the chance to actually get to know her a little better. Her English isn't great, but somehow that didn't stop us from having some surprisingly deep conversations. When she couldn't explain something in English, she'd just pull out her phone and use a translator, and we'd keep talking. Sometimes I'd sit there thinking, “Thank god we live in the 21st century”…I actually really liked those conversations. It made me realise there's much more to her than the first impression you get from a profile. She told me she'd had quite a few clients come specifically because they'd seen previous reviews about her. Apparently she'd advertised on Ivy before going on holiday, and some clients had found her through reviews on the forums. She said keeping advertisements on both platforms was costing around $700 a month, so after returning from her holiday she decided to stay with Scarlet Blue instead.

That was actually part of the reason I wanted to write this. She told me her family had gone bankrupt and that she's now responsible for supporting herself and paying her tuition. She's only 20. I honestly can't imagine what it must feel like to be that young, living in another country, and suddenly having to worry about supporting yourself and paying for your education. Maybe that's another reason I feel so strongly about her. I'm not writing this because I want anything from her. I just wanted to give her a little bit more exposure and hopefully help her in some small way.

And if I'm being completely honest, I only created this Reddit account because of her. I didn't even have a Reddit account before. If I lived in Melbourne, I probably wouldn't even be writing this post. There's a selfish part of me that wishes I could just keep her to myself. I know that's probably silly, but when you meet someone you genuinely enjoy being around, I think it's natural to wish you didn't have to share them with everyone else. Now I'm back in my own city, back to my normal life, and I still catch myself thinking about those two nights. That's the part I didn't expect. I thought I'd be writing a review about someone I met during a business trip. Instead, I'm sitting here wondering when I'm going back to Melbourne. Next time I'm there, North will be my first choice. Without a doubt.
