Mechanics explained?

I'm looking for a resource (?) to learn more about how mechanically the stats etc. works, would be great if it contain some form of "bestiary".

Couldn't find anything on "Encyclopedia Ermariana", so I'm not sure if such a thing even exists.

I'd be grateful for any information.
