„Lock“ audio output to specific device in Media Composer

Hello!

I am on MacOS Ventura with both Media Composer and Pro Tools installed + a DAC attached via USB-C, which I would want Avid to use exclusively as an audio output.

Because unfortunately, whenever I connect or disconnect bluetooth attached AirPods while I am working with what I have attached to the DAC, Media Composer crashes.

I am guessing this happens because Avid switches the audio output device automatically to whatever is selected (or even just available) to the system.

When I go into Settings -> Project -> Audio Project and click on the „Hardware“ tab, I am seeing options for „Card“ and „Peripheral“, but can‘t select either of those to change them.
