Alaves vs Sevilla

The current second bottom of La Liga Alaves will welcome the visit of the current second position of La Liga Sevilla. Alaves has only managed to win on one occasion in their last five games in La Liga against Valencia last month (D1 L3). They get a 2-2 draw on their visit to 15th place Getafe last week. Meanwhile, the visitor Sevilla is unbeaten in their last five games in La Liga (W2 D3). They won 2-1 at home against Real Betis in their last match. Currently, six points away from Real Madrid at the top of the league, Sevilla has a good opportunity to continue to be on Real Madrid’s tail in this match. The only problem for Julen Lopetegui in this match is he has five players in doubt, Karim Rekik, Erik Lamela, Diego Carlos, Gonzalo Montiel, and Alejandro Gomez. But Villareal is on really good form at the moment as they are unbeaten in their last five La Liga matches (W4 D1) and scoring 4+ goals in their last two matches where they win 4-1 at Granada and 5-1 at home against Espanyol. In their 5-1 win against Espanyol last week, the young winger Yeremy Pino scored 4 goals. Meanwhile, Osasuna lost their last two matches in La Liga. They got beaten 0-3 against Atletico and lost 1-0 to Real Sociedad. Villareal can force their way to the Champions League spot with three points in this match as they are only three points away from Barcelona at 4th place.

Espanyol vs Getafe

Espanyol is in terrible form at the moment. They never win in their last five matches in La Liga (D2 L3) and lost 5-1 in their last match against Villareal. They need to start winning if they don’t want to drop deeper in the table (currently 13th). The visitor Getafe is also having the same problems. They failed to win their last three matches in La Liga (D2 L1). But the important note for this match is that Espanyol has failed to win their last six games against Getafe in La Liga (D3 L3). The last time they meet in the same fixture in 2019, the match ended in a 1-1 draw. Another draw looks very likely to happen again in this match considering two teams in similar form at the moment.
