Focusing issue with R6

I’m having issues focusing with my R6. Currently using a Canon Macro 100 with the Canon adapter (no ring). When I autofocus, no matter what focus type I am using, the image does not focus on what is in the center of the frame. Maddening! Anyone else experience this?
