Halfway through the show, love it so far (no spoilers please) but what's with the CGI?

Was this production super rushed or something? There's no connectivity between the CGI elements and the human actors, and whenever the fae fly around it's painfully obvious they're on wires. They swing back and forth in some scenes.

The prosthetics are fantastic and the world is really well developed, I'm so shocked the CGI work looks like a 2003 Sci-Fi Channel original.
