I Think Foodie's Biggest Arc Is Still Coming...

I have way too many tinfoil hat theories about Foodie, but this is the one I keep coming back to.

Right now everything seems relatively calm because she still has a roof over her head. But the second that changes whether she can't renew her tenancy or struggles to find somewhere else to live I think she's going to pile the pressure onto Salah to let her come back to Syria.

I think the current "plan" is still Malaysia with him supposedly visiting every now and then. She's even said before that he was the one who first suggested Malaysia, so I don't think she just pulled that idea out of thin air.

The problem is, I don't think that plan lasts the second she actually needs him. If she's suddenly facing homelessness or has nowhere to go, she's going to expect him to step up as her husband and I honestly think that's the moment Salah checks out. He'll ghost her, make excuses, drag things out, and eventually stop responding altogether.

And that's when I think things get completely unhinged.

I honestly think people underestimate just how obsessive she can be. I don't believe for a second that she doesn't know exactly where he lives. This is the same woman who admitted she went through his phone, secretly screenshotted things she couldn't even read, then translated them later on her own phone. That's a level of obsession that most people would never admit to. never mind what she WONT addmit to.

I can genuinely picture her booking a flight to Damascus, landing with a pocket full of cash, jumping into a taxi and telling the driver to take her straight to Salah's house. She doesn't strike me as someone who would ever accept being dumped and move on. Once she's fixated on someone, she clings on for dear life.

I've also never completely bought her story about getting into Syria the first time. From what she described, she was driven through the desert and had to pass multiple checkpoints. My personal tinfoil hat theory is that she didn't enter through a normal crossing at all. It would also explain why Salah wanted her carrying such a ridiculous amount of cash remember when they were literally showing it off in those Syria videos?

Now here's where my theory goes completely off the rails...

Imagine she finally turns up expecting to save the marriage... only to discover Salah has another wife, another family, or has been living a completely different life the entire time. she'd absolutely explode and I also think that's the moment she'd spill everything she knows about Salah.

She's been hinting for ages that she has some huge piece of information on him that she's keeping in her back pocket. She always throws out little threats about exposing him one day. Part of me wonders if that's one of the reasons he's continued entertaining her for so long because whatever she knows could cause him serious problems if it ever came out.

I have absolutely no evidence for this, but my brain keeps bouncing between two possibilities. Either it's something about his personal life that he's desperate to keep private ( hes gay or Bi) or it's something connected to his beliefs or people he associates with ( hes got links to terror somewhere - his dad's position within the Kuwait government ffs) One thing that always sticks out to me is how, for a while, she became really extreme in the way she talked about the West. She kept saying Salah had taught her how terrible Western countries were and suddenly she was parroting all these talking points that she'd never really expressed before. Maybe it means nothing... but it's one of those things that's always stayed in the back of my mind.

Anyway, this is 100% tinfoil hat territory, but if this whole relationship finally blows up, I honestly think it'll be the biggest Foodie arc we've ever seen.

And, I can't lie... I'll be watching with popcorn for the true downfall of Foodie.
