30 Days to Ace CLAT Quants Day 16 Basics of Algebra - 2

Hey everyone,
We are now on Day 16 Basics of Algebra - 2, continuing from where we left yesterday. Once you are comfortable with algebraic operations, the next step is to learn how to form and solve equations. This is one of the most useful skills in Quants and will help you across several other topics as well.

Start by understanding what an equation actually represents. Learn how to translate a situation or a statement into an equation. Once you can form equations correctly, solving them becomes much easier.

Focus on these things today
• Learning how to form and solve simple equations step by step
• Understanding and practicing simultaneous equations
• Learning quadratic equations and how to solve them using the Shridharacharya Formula
• Observing how equation solving helps in questions from other chapters like ratio, age, or speed problems

Practice around 20 questions of each type to get a solid grip. Focus on understanding the logic behind every step instead of just memorising formulas.

Mastering this part of Algebra will make many topics easier in the coming days. Stay patient and consistent. Tomorrow we move to the final part of Algebra in your CLAT Quants journey.
