Day 4 of Vibe Coding — Learn structure, or your build will collapse like a house of cards

Day 4 and here’s the reality check: Anyone can get ChatGPT to generate. But without structure, you’re just stacking code until gravity wins.

When you’re vibe coding, structure is your skeleton. It’s what keeps your project standing when your chat resets or your logic expands.

What “structure” means in vibe coding:

  1. Folder & file logic: Name things like a system, not a scrapbook.

  2. Version tags: Even tiny updates deserve v0.1, v0.2 labels.

  3. Dependencies map: Know what talks to what.

  4. Authoritative files: Decide which file defines truth (env.py, main.py, schema.json, etc.).

  5. Recap ritual: At day’s end, outline the architecture again so you own it mentally.

Prompt ritual I use before building:

“Let’s outline the folder / file structure before any code. Show me where each feature lives and how they connect.”

It’s five minutes that can save five days of debugging.

Remember: Vibe without structure is chaos disguised as progress. Build your scaffolding first; the magic comes after.

See you on Day 5 🚀
