A look at our early days
Hey everyone,
It's still very early days for this community — and honestly, that's part of what makes it exciting. Right now, we're in that raw, unpolished phase where nothing is fully defined yet. The rules aren't set in stone. The culture hasn't fully formed. The "vibe" is still being written by every post, every comment, every person who decides to hit "join." 🚀
As the saying goes, "It's still early days in their relationship; they've only been dating for a month."
That's where we are — a community that's just starting to figure out what it wants to be. And I think that's a beautiful thing.
I want to be honest with you: I don't have all the answers. I don't know exactly what this place should become, or what format will make it thrive. What I do know is that the best communities aren't built by one person — they're shaped by the people who show up and participate.
So let me ask you directly:
What kind of posts or conversations would actually make you want to come back?
Not just "lurk and scroll" — but actually come back, check the feed, leave a comment, start a thread.
Here are some questions to help you think about it:
- Would you love a weekly "What are you building?" thread where members share their projects?
- Are you looking for help and debugging discussions where you can get answers to specific technical questions?
- Do you want deep dives and tutorials on Chrome APIs, extension development, or web technologies?
- Or maybe you're hoping for community challenges, showcases, or AMAs with experienced developers?
There's no wrong answer here. In fact, the more specific you are, the better. Because the truth is — I can guess what you want, but I'd much rather hear it from you.
This is your community too. Let's build something worth coming back to. 💪
Drop your thoughts below — even a few words help. What would make you hit that "join" button again tomorrow?
