A hundred years after everything ended, the aliens went looking for entertainment and settled on the obvious: make the local wildlife fight, put it on television, call it a World Cup. You're at the qualifier.

**What The Cup actually is** A free 1v1 creature card battler you play in your browser (PC or phone, nothing to install). You field a **survivor** and a line of **three creatures** — every creature is a mutated version of a real North American animal, and the real natural-history fact is printed on every card. Variance is something you *choose*: creatures are tagged SAFE, SWINGY, or JACKPOT, and when you gamble and everyone leans in to watch the die — that's the game working as designed.

**The state of things: EARLY ACCESS TESTING.** 59 contestants, 9 survivors, ruleset v2.0, and a completely normal pigeon. What breaks, you report. What's fun, we keep.

▶ **Play:** [cupqualifier.app](http://cupqualifier.app) — access code: `please-stand-by-4f9k`, or just log in with Discord 💬 **Green room (find opponents, report bugs):** [discord.gg/SPVGfs6Ta](http://discord.gg/SPVGfs6Ta)

**What this sub is for:** match highlights and bad beats, lineup talk, new-contestant questions, and the build itself — we develop this thing in the open and post design decisions here first. Grab a flair, play a match, then come back and tell us the single dumbest thing a die did to you. 🏆
