**DEAD RAILS CONCEPT CARD #206**

The Outcasts

I think we should have new faction instead of only fighting Outlaws and mobs.

The Outcasts are ordinary humans, but they're just as dangerous. They were once members of the Outlaws, but after leaving the gang and surviving in Chicago, they rose again under a new name: **The Outcasts**. They wear **violet masks**, ride **wolves instead of horses**, and fight with their own weapons and tactics.

# Independent Implementation

The Outcasts could be added even without the Survivor as Saviour campaign.

They could appear as a new faction that occasionally replaces Outlaws in certain areas of the map. Their wolf riders, violet masks, and different weapons would immediately make encounters feel fresh without changing the rest of the game.

# Survivor as Saviour (SAS)

In the SAS campaign, the Outcasts become one of the main enemy factions.

They have taken control of **South Station**, turning it into their stronghold and holding civilians throughout the town. Later in the campaign, they also seize **City Hall District**, making it one of the final areas players must fight through before evacuating Chicago.

Unlike zombies, the Outcasts think and fight like experienced bandits. They'll defend their territory, guard survivors, patrol the streets on wolves, and use different weapons to stop rescue teams from reaching the stations.

I think adding another human faction would make the world feel more believable. Not every enemy has to be infected—some survivors chose to build their own rule instead.
