How often does seat upgrade happen for Delta Skymiles Reserve holders?

Hello,

I'm considering getting either Delta Skymiles Platinum or Reserve, and the biggest thing that attracts me to Reserve is the seat upgrade priority. Whenever I'm flying within the US, I like to fly with Delta (internationally too if the price is right).

I was wondering how often the seat upgrade happens for Reserve holders. Can anyone share their experiences?
