Audio keeps recording very quiet

My sister and I have been recording our podcast directly in Descript and the audio is very quiet when we play it back. When we export, the audio is louder but still very soft. We can't figure out why. We use two microphones and a mixer and have never had problems before. Nothing has changed in our mixer settings.

Audio records normally in Zoom or other softwares.

Any thoughts on how to fix this in descript so we keep recording directly in it? Is it as simple as cranking up the microphone volume on our mixer?
