"Five Budgets is all you need"

Probably more. I dont know. However, I am always struggeling getting my expenses straight. I tried Apps like Finanzguru. But first of all their Budget planner is not "powerfull" and second I don't see why I need to pay money for a simpel feature. So I built my own budget planner: **5ive Budgets**.

The idea is to keep things simple - or make it complex if you want, only:

* organize spending into five broad budgets
* transactions are sorted into categories that you can sort into budgets
* I have three different kind of money streams: regular income, regular expenses (rent, ...) and unregular spendings - thats where you need budgets
* you can either start from the scratch and just define budget limits and then start recording your expenses
* you can also import CSV and use filters and rulesets to built upon your actual transaction history
* it comes with llms.txt - you can throw your trusted AI bot if you need help
* it's PWA ready, just drop it on you phone's home screen
* it comes with three charts, you probably dont need more, to get an overview of your money

It’s not meant to replace a full finance suite. It’s more of a focused tool for answering one question:

**“What can I safely spend this week?”**
