EB-5: SOF Review at the I-829 Stage

Until this administration, SOF review at the I-829 stage was very rare and reserved for cases generally where new information concerning fraud or illegality came to light. However, given USCIS's increased scrutiny into Sources of Funds, they have began "looking back" using their new standards to review funds at the I-829 stage despite prior I-526e approval. I have shared an article that goes into a bit more detail on what to expect.

For new investors, it's difficult to say what kind of review they will experience at the I-829 stage, given what we are seeing now is a product of the current administration and I-829 review is going to be more than 4-5 years out for most investors filing now.
