Getting Really Tired of Broken Game

Review

Look, a lot of seemingly minor parts of this game don't work correctly, but all combined it kind of makes the game unplayable:

  • You send off an alliance offer and it's accepted, but they break the alliance in less than 5 days.
  • There is no indication at all of why someone breaks an alliance. Oftentimes you can send them a request to really the same day and it gets accepted.
  • You set up a defensive league, but each nation proposes changing the defense policy every few months so it's useless, because 1/3 of the time defense is "possible" instead of guaranteed and the AI knows that your partner won't protect you.
  • Your income varies by 50% during the course of a month and says +100 on the last day, only to make you lose money instead and not even tell you.
  • You log off making 150 a month and load the save later, only for the game to calculate you're falling into debt now.
  • A bunch of diplomatic interactions don't cost diplomats, but none say whether they do or not.
  • Situations like the Italian Leagues are mess of repetitive shitty pop ups and zero control over the mechanics, even if you're leading a league. The HYW is bullshit and mandatory hell for England, the Western Schism just enriches an already busted France, etc.
  • Power ranking values Empire rank more than anything else and ignores actually important values like levy size, standing army size, navy size and population.
  • Great Powers can flip every month, ruining diplomatic options (great powers can't aly each other, and you may not have a bonus next month) and making hegemonies a shit show. You also can't even tell who the other great powers are or how many there are.
  • Hegemonies are unfun. They have abilities that can abuse other countries, but those countries get no recourse. If France forces me to embargo half my trade partners as frakking Genoa, you better give me a casus belli for making them frakking stop. Because my economy is stronger than theirs and this would never happen in real life.
  • Hegemonies' requirements are nonsensical. I was Military hegemon with 7000 standing troops, but every big nation in Europe could kick my ass with levies. I wasn't naval hegemon despite having the best fleet in the world, because France had 10 heavies and I had 25 galleys and 30 light ships. Diplomatic hegemon can be gamed with a cabinet action!
  • The coalition pop up is basically useless, especially if more than 10 people hate you.
  • Rulers can be from estates other than the crown. Like what?
  • Declaring war menu shows an icon if your allies have a truce with you and not the enemy. They just get grayed out without a reason half the time.
  • Cost of court, diplo spending and stability investment are flat out broken. They should scale by pretty much anything other than economic base, otherwise you will never make more profit by increasing your country's economy when it and buildings and estates always take a percent cut. Growing is pointless, and these things have nothing to do with eco base anyway.
  • It's basically impossible to remove a single privilege from a high power estate. Best case scenario it takes you 10+ years to recover to positive stab, during which you're getting negative events the entire time. I can't force them with 40% crown and an army?
