client wants a full conference in 8 weeks

literally just had a meeting where a client casually suggested a conference for mid summer. They honestly think that once the venue is booked, we’re done.meanwhile, i’m sitting here stressing about the nightmare to follow: speaker contracts, registration flow, catering guarantees, and on site logistics. Is a 60 day window for a major event basically a suicide mission? how are you guys handling clients who think events just happen?
