I’m done

Earlier this week or late last week I posted asking if others felt burnt out and that I had clocked in a lot of time into this game and was just starting to be unhappy with the game. Per most people’s feedback, I stopped playing the mini games and the side quests (despite every fiber of my being wanting to play them) and just played the story. I began to enjoy the game and only focused on getting the summons and playing the story.

I tried to beat Odin and I got frustrated and decided it wasn’t worth it.

Now I’m at the Rufus fight after Rude and Elena and I’m just done. I do not enjoy this game. I cannot believe that they would make three stupid boss fights back to back like this and have the last of the three with such a stupid fight mechanic that I cannot take it anymore. I played it for an hour trying every strategy I could find and I couldn’t get past where he summons dark star because I simply cannot get a cast off, use an item, and can’t build ATB.

I do not like souls games because I play games to have fun, not be blisteringly frustrated. My free time is precious to me, and I am dissapointed that a game I grew up loving in the 90s and have always said it’s a top 5 video game of all time, that the remake would be so aggravating. I hate what this game is, and I hate how mad I’ve gotten playing what should have been an easy slam dunk for me to enjoy for the nostalgia. Not saying the game should have been easy, but it should have been a game I enjoyed. I will not be getting the next game, and I’m likely not going to be playing another final fantasy game ever. I just came here to rant, so if you made it this far, thanks for reading.
