Bill Gates' Cascade Investment has bought $51 million worth of $RSG for 18 straight sessions

Cascade Investment, Bill Gates family office, has bought Republic Services shares on every trading day from August 10 through September 2. Eighteen sessions, 4.2 million shares, $927 million. That's about $51 million a day, and the pace is rising: the first five sessions averaged $44 million a day, the last six $61 million. The single biggest day was Wednesday, $73.5 million. After the latest fill, Cascade owns about 115 million shares, roughly 37% of the company, worth about $25.5 billion.

The fills from Wednesday were filed Thursday and were in the FMP insider trading endpoint the same day. The streak was still running as of the last filing. Cascade has been buying this stock for over twenty years, but never at this pace.
