Problems mounting a monitor arm

I want to mount a monitor arm on the top shelf of the fredde (check image), and i have a couple questions:

• would the top shelf hold the weight of a monitor arm + monitor?
• is there any way to use a clamp mount on the shelf? I'm asking because the top shelf has this ledge which i circled in the image, which looks like it would be an obstacle for a potential clamp mount.
