realtek wifi never works for more than five minutes straighht

using realtek rtl8810ce on fedora linux, wifi just seems not to work after a minute or two, and a few minutes after that kde says "connection ... deactivated"
i have absolutely no idea why, seems like farily consistent behaviour across multiple networks
tried everything on the internet already its horrible
