Splash Guard shenanigans

I bought a 2017 Fiat 500e yesterday, and had a mechanic look at it. They said everything was in nearly perfect condition except that the Splash guard (plastic but that covers the undercarriage) was missing. We checked with the dealership, and all the other Fiats has missing splash guards as well.

Is it worth replacing, or does it come off so often it’s not worth the cost?
