Large spread outage?

Currently my internet is out in North Houston. Called support and there is an automated message stating there is a large outage in California. Looking at downdetector.com for Consolidated Communications shows a lot of outages across the country.

Unfortunately there is no native outage map or a post on either Fidium or Consolidated's website. Any idea what's going on?
