If you've ever filed taxes in India, you know the drill.

You find a CA through a friend, share your Form 16 over WhatsApp, and then wait. A week passes. You follow up. "Almost done bhai." Another week. Eventually you get a PDF acknowledgement and no explanation of what was actually filed, which regime was chosen, or whether your TDS matched.

Then six months later, a notice arrives.

That's the experience we built FirstReports to replace.

**What we actually built**

FirstReports is a CA-assisted ITR filing platform. Not a DIY tool. Not an AI that files your return while pretending a human reviewed it. An actual ICAI-registered Chartered Accountant is assigned to your return — someone professionally accountable for what gets filed.

Here's what the process looks like:

1. You pick a plan (pricing is shown upfront, no surprises)
2. You upload documents to an encrypted vault — no WhatsApp, no email attachments floating around
3. Your CA reviews everything, optimises your regime choice, and raises any queries through the portal
4. You get your ITR-V acknowledgement and computation sheet, downloadable from your dashboard
5. You can track every step live — no chasing anyone

**Plans start at ₹999** for income below ₹50L. For capital gains, directorships, foreign income, or multiple sources, plans start at ₹1,999.

We've filed 500+ returns this season. Deadline for FY 2025-26 is **31 July 2026**.

**A few things we'll be posting here regularly:**

* Tax deadline reminders (no one should pay 234B interest because they forgot a date)
* Regime comparison breakdowns for different income profiles
* Capital gains explainers — especially for people with Zerodha/Groww/Angel One portfolios
* Real CA answers to common ITR questions

We built FirstReports after one too many "bhai filing ho gayi" messages that turned out to be wrong. Here's what we're trying to fix.
