### 📝 Overview

Pillsbury Toaster Pockets were frozen savoury pastries designed to be heated in a domestic toaster and aimed at UK consumers aged 10–16. Their television campaign appeared by late January 1997 and featured Harry Enfield as Kevin the Teenager.

Set in Kevin’s family kitchen, it built the product demonstration around his familiar teenage strop before closing with the Pillsbury Doughboy. No official withdrawal notice or final UK retail date has been located; later consumer recollections support only probable discontinuation.

### 💡 Why It Mattered

The campaign paired a new toaster snack with Kevin the Teenager, an established British television character familiar to the intended teenage audience. This gave an unfamiliar product an immediately recognisable comic identity.

Enfield did more than perform: The Independent reports that he refined the script with Lowe Howard-Spink and directed the Tiger Aspect production. That involvement made the advert a notable extension of his character work into commercial production.
