MAN

Men say we should be tough, stoic and emotions are useless. Those values are important in some situations. But that state of mind does not encompass the scope of what a man is.

A man should be strong. For the sake of the achievement. For the art of the process. But a man should be weak. Not for the sake of pity but to harness the power of grace. Weakness is the act of needing aid, of being vulnerable and honest about it. And that is grace.

Grace is powerful. It dominates society on closely-social, intimate level. Women have grace. And men get shamed for showing theirs. Why? Because the rigid, ancient views of what a man should be. Those reasons may have helped us survive. But men should thrive alongside women in modern times.

In comparison civil rights movement for women in the 60s was great and powerful. But the mans equivalent will be the harnessing of social grace and the soft power it brings. And that will set us free.

This movement invites men from all walks of life. From the most battle hardened veterans, to humble farmers, to the average working man, to those who aspire to be one of us. Grace is not limited to a rigid system only meant for women. Yet I also invite the open women to peer in for advice. Even if the idea of men being more vulnerable may scare some or make them worried that men might get too “soft.” And those are the same shackles that we will free ourselves from.

It’s meant for humans. I do not “own” this movement since I created it just now on a subreddit. I started it. Humans will carry it along. Because humans will embrace grace. And it will be strong in ways that mean something different for the individual.
