is admission at ivs worth it?

I'm thinking of applying for the interior design program at ivs but a relative who's an alumni told me to take textile instead but I don't want that. She also said that the interior design program is very competitive and toxic?? and that they purposefully fail students? I dont know how accurate this information is. pls guide. Also how is the entry test like?
