Just over a month and 2,500 miles in, I'm still in love with driving this thing. I've been making the most of the British summer (all 10 days of it!) and driving every chance I can get while the roads are dry and the tyres are hot, plus getting to learn the car in the eventual rain that followed.

There's just so much grip, so much power, and so many smiles. The noise + gears do such a good job of replicating an ICE (on the inside) that I've tricked a few petrolheads into thinking it has an engine, and it's had every passenger smiling ear to ear and giggling like a baby - or driving them to car sickness... but I think that one's on me.

I thought I was becoming desensitised to the speed so had a proper spin as a passenger yesterday and was quickly humbled. The amount of shove it has at 0 or at 60 is just silly and high speed grip and stability feels just as sure-footed from the passenger seat. The driver felt like he'd be a bit upset getting back into his G80 M3!

I've also never had so many "woah, what is that?"s from people before, whether it's the blacked out badges or the fact the IONIQ 6 is a bit of a rare thing in itself, people are always shocked to hear it's a Hyundai. I've even had a few curious admirers in Taycans and the like at charging stops! It's a proper head turner, I can't imagine what a Performance Blue one would do for attention!

Bravo, Hyundai N, this thing is magnificent. To anyone on the fence about getting into one of these, just drive one and let the car do the talking. For all those awaiting delivery, I hope your cars arrive soon - you won't be disappointed!

Right, I'm off to sacrifice some Duracell's to the ICCU gods and hope for many more fun-filled miles to come!

What a machine.
