Hey everyone! Long time researcher of Irish History here! I had a bit of a peculiar question for you all… I went on a trip to Inishmore back in 2019 and met an older couple who used to drive a tour bus out to Dun Aengus. They told me how when the conditions were just right, an optical illusion did create a visible “island” out in the sea to the west. They also said once in the 90s they saw it clearly enough the whole bus of tourists got out to take pictures. Anyone know of any relative with knowledge of a surviving copy of such a photo? I know it’s a long shot but I figured i’d put my feelers out!
