So... how big is your spitz?

So I'm extremely fond of spitzes. Love big polar bear samoyeds, love teddy bear pomeranians, I just love fluffy little wolves okay. I live in a 500 sq ft apartment, so something on the smaller side is great for me. Shiba's feel like an ideal size and i absolutely love them, but as a first time dog owner I have to come to grips with reality that they just might not be the dog for me.

Enter the Japanese spitz. Described by some as a mini samoyed, I really like their personality. I like that they're affectionate towards their owners (especially moreso than shibas). They're also adorable. And of course, I've heard that they're great for first time dog owners.

Unfortunately, I have the toxic masculine urge to dismiss things that "aren't enough dog" for me. So i was wondering, how much do your spitzes weigh typically, and do you find them to be the stereotypical "yappy dog" size.
