Laptop for university for econ major

So, I am in grade 12 and I'm an intl student and wanna study abroad. So, I'm looking to buy a new laptop for my unis and I'm open to basically all options. But, the one I'm looking at right now are Macbook Neo or other Mac airs within the same price range.

Major: Economics, Political Science, Maybe Finance (basically some social sciences)

Should I go with the Neo 512 gb (will last maybe 5 yrs) or with other Mac Airs. If air, under what price can I get 16gb versions. Please help me guys.

P.S. I'm looking for something that lasts for 4-5 yrs
