Cross-Interest? - Infected Mushroom

Last year at Summerdance, I felt like I heard a lot of Infected Mushroom at camp. I've got a couple decades of history with them so I always hear it and love it. They've just got A SOUND about them.

I was heavily into electronic from like 1999-2012 or so and not listening to rock, jam bands, nothing of the sort.

I remember when the album Vicious Delicious came out in 2007 and I thought that this integration of analog instruments into psytrance was the goddam future. Converting Vegetarians remains one of my favorite albums of all time.

And then I discovered fuckin LOTUS. I emailed the band last year asking if there was any influences with them. Sometimes I feel like I hear it from Luke, and some from the drums. I did not receive an answer, but I did receive the Harps from Summerdance on Friday 8/29/25 and it gave me feelings. It's got the 2/3 syncopation with the doubled up beat, it's got the extra snares, it's got the obscure sci-fi vocal samples. That's psy by Lotus!!!!

Are any of y'all into the bizarro Israeliens? Did anyone else feel the fuck out of that Harps? What other artists do you feel like you hear when Lotus plays?
