Badges & Meet and Greet Wristbands Question

Hi everyone,

I'll be at MagicCon for my first time on Friday, and I really want a wristband to meet The Professor. I know they are available starting at 8:30 AM on Friday but I only have a standard ticket, which I believe means that the doors open for us at 10 AM?

I was planning on picking up my badge on Thursday to have a better chance of getting the wristband on Friday, but i see that both the badge and wristband pickups are in the same hall, so I'm wondering if it's worth going in on Thursday at all?

Any advice would be appreciated!
