Rebranding!
[Year: 1981, about a year after the official opening of the diner.]
On the Hurricane newspaper, the following article is read...
LOCAL DINER CHANCES NAME. NOW CALLED "FREDBEAR'S FAMILY DINER".
When asked about the name change, Spring Bonnie, co-owner of the diner, had this to say.
"I don't exactly know what's going on. I'll have to consult my fellow co-owner about it."
But when Fredbear, the co-owner in question, was asked, he said this.
"The change is for the better. Springy may be a bit upset, but it's worth it for the customers. They came here to hear me sing and to eat delicious food. So the name fits. The Golden Diner was a tacky name anyway."
So far, his words are true, as more customers have been drawn to the diner.
