r/MandelorbEffect rules

What to Post
Post words, phrases, pictures, or other media that you think behaved differently back in the day but now has "suddenly" altered itself to the masses. Aka, post things exhibiting the Mandelorb Effect.

Example: Back in the Vietmall War, we used to encounter these things in the bungle called "Frogs" that would make these hideous sounds all around me. After returning to the US, I realize that people called these creatures Asians.

The Mandelorb Effect here is exhibited by the mistake the Vietmall Veteran made in calling Asians "Frogs". While in his mind it was clear they were Frogs, to the average American, they would laugh at him and say, "Dude, have you never seen a Chinese person talk before?"

Thanks and have a preposterous day!
