Please help newbies out in Vault Breaker (Spoilers for all maps for completely new folks)
Now that I've exfilled a few times and got a few vaults done on vault breaker, I understand how Bungie designed the end game stuff. Perimeter has secret keys and triggered events. Dire Marsh has shoot the hidden panels. Obviously Pinwheel in Outpost. And Cryo is what you've learned in fast action. While one of the allures is not knowing this stuff as you learn the game, Vault Breakers is clearly designed for you to help catch folks up to play the actual map.
Matchmaking in VB has been so frustraring for me on this front, as someone who's only played this season. I don't get to play all the time, so this roguelite learning curve is fun, but I don't know this map. Tons of other new or newer players don't know it either. If you do, please shurpa us. Trying to keep up while getting a better kit, or figure out where the hell to even go, while the next 2 or 3 steps happen just leaves me lost and confused. I am more then capable in gameplay, I just don't understand the convoluted map design. Watching videos does not help that much in action.
If you're white or green shield crew fill hasn't died but isn't breaking off to do the objectives, go back and get them to follow you. Gives you protection, and helps them learn. Stick with them after exfill, and see if they learned. If they did, then show them the next step in another go, etc. This mode does not have that much benefit to the PvP side, so if you are running this and not helping, or quitting out seeing your crewmates progress, it's really disheartening to those trying to get good.
Obviously, this isn't anyones responsibility. Play the round, and leave the crew if you don't want to. But try to help if you can, and stick around. You'll still get the currency you need, and maybe increase the player bases ability and stop frustrating PvPvE crew fills in the future.
